Caseificio Mambelli

The story of the Caseificio Mambelli begins in a house in the countryside of Bertinoro. Grandmother Elsa used a copper pot to produce a special ricotta cheese, made from the milk of her cows and enriched with thermal waters from the Fonti della Fratta, loading the precious product onto her bicycle and selling it at the market in Cesena. It was later Elsa's son Domenico who transported the 'family treasure' to the market on his 'Mondial', making Mambelli's Ricotta more and more famous. Domenico and Idiana inherited all the secrets of ricotta production and extended its distribution to neighbouring countries. This is how the Mambelli dairy was born in 1972, a story of work and passion, but also a family story, now in its third generation with Federica and Raffaella, together with her husband Gianluca. Known and respected for its Ricotta di Romagna, to which Squacquerone was added in 1995, the dairy has always expressed its "vocation for authenticity": the exclusive use of natural ingredients, milk from selected stables, and artisan processing methods and care. Today, after thirty years, Mambelli produces with the same philosophy a wide range of cheeses, all to be enjoyed fresh.
