From a volcanic territory, with its characteristic pedo-climatic conditions, comes one of the gastronomic excellences of Campania: the Vesuvius PDO tomato. We process it fresh and store it whole, unpeeled, immersed in its juice.
It is one of the oldest and most typical products of the Vesuvius area, a fundamental ingredient of Campanian cuisine. The 'pomodorino del piennolo PDO' is cultivated using supports made of wooden stakes that allow the fruit not to touch the ground and to receive the sun's rays evenly. With its characteristic sourish taste, rich in vitamins and mineral salts, it has great versatility in the kitchen: it can be used pure to season pasta, on pizza or as a sauce to accompany recipes for main courses and fillings.
